decorative metallization
PVD-coating

The viewer’s interest is aroused by the design and decorative styling, particularly in vehicle technology. For many years, the various OEMs have identified themselves through the look of the headlights, for example.

The headlights have probably become the most important distinguishing feature of all.

This point was made even more complex by the integration of the LED daytime running light. Each headlight was to have a high recognition value and unique selling points thanks to its individual design.

Metallizing in a high vacuum

Due to the seemingly limitless design possibilities of free-form surfaces on plastic parts, the designers of leading manufacturers such as VW, AUDI, Mercedes, BMW, PSA etc. are constantly coming up with new looks (reflectors, decorative trims etc.). For the metallization of plastic parts in chrome/aluminium look, there are various design options which we are happy to offer you.

Different demarcations and roughnesses can be achieved via graining and etching structures on the plastic surface, which influence the reflection of light. It is also possible to give the surface a highly polished or matt finish. Shimmering areas can be created – but often everything is combined in one headlight. And if you want to be really sophisticated, the design part can be divided into vaporized and non-vaporized zones. There are also technically relevant applications for decorative metallization. We are also happy to offer you the production of light-relevant parts or other functional elements. This demonstrates the complexity and diversity of visible components in a headlight at a high level of quality.

During the quotation phase, we prepare a feasibility study and are happy to be your partner when it comes to making your unique design/functional part manufacturable and ready for series production.

The foundation stone is not laid during vapor deposition – this is „only“ the result of how well or less well the upstream processes, especially the design of the injection moulding tool, have been planned and worked. ZEIBINA offers you production from a single source: Collaboration in the development phase – development of the manufacturing concept via an ideally designed injection molding tool with the various surface structures – the design of the vapor deposition planets – and finally the aluminum vapor deposition in the high vacuum process.

In contrast to chrome-plated parts, we do not require any additional paintwork (primer, clear coat, etc.). By manufacturing under one roof (spraying and vapor deposition), we can offer you competitive prices. Send us your test request or do you have sample parts from a current project? We would be happy to carry out a sample vaporization for you, so that you can impress your customers.

Machinery / technical equipment

We manufacture the most demanding parts for the automotive industry, medical technology and the consumer goods industry in 15 shifts on a total of 4 vapor deposition systems.

Thanks to the commissioning of a newly built production hall for vaporization in 2019, we have ideal working conditions for our employees in order to continue to guarantee the high quality requirements for our customers.

Vacporization EMC– shielding

The next development step in the history of the automobile is e-mobility.  Electromagnetic compatibility plays a special role here. Especially with the large number of electrical components.

EMC shielding is important wherever electrical components are used, not just in the automotive sector. This technology, which is at home at Zeibina, will therefore become an essential component.
